ABOUT JOE CORTEZ
Joe Cortez is the owner and founder of Next Level Entertainment, the eight-time award winner of Wedding Wire’s Couple’s Choice Award for Top DJ Services. Born and raised in Hawaii, Joe launched his career as one of the island’s most in-demand DJs and radio personalities. He quickly discovered that his passion for music was at its strongest when he was helping couples create the wedding experience of their dreams, and set out to found an unparalleled entertainment service company that offered the best local talent, standard of professionalism, and unparalleled commitment to giving couples the wedding of their dreams.
By combining his expertise in music with his intuitive understanding of people, Joe dives into his clients’ stories, music tastes, and goals for their event to create a completely personalized and unforgettable experience that will be remembered for a lifetime. His friendliness, authenticity, and attention to detail make him a favorite for local weddings and destination weddings alike.
Over the course of his decades’-long career, Joe has partnered with Maui’s top wedding planners and venues to give couples the wedding of their dreams. He is the two-time winner of the Las Vegas Spinmasters competition and holds bronze and silver statuses as a Master of Ceremonies.
ABOUT DJ LX
Originally from the small island of Moloka’i, Hawaii, Alex Ragonton “DJ LX” started perfecting his craft almost twenty years ago. Since then, he’s taken Hawaii by storm, working professionally as a radio Mix Show DJ, a Hit Mixer for Maui’s #1 Hit station, and as one of Power 104.3’s All-Star Power Mixers. He has also worked as an open-format Club DJ at some of the biggest nightclubs all over Hawaii.
DJ LX had the privilege of opening for some big-name acts, including Sean Kingston, Savage, Dem Franchize Boyz, Travis Porter, DJ Skribble, and, most recently, Diplo.
When he’s not rocking weddings or corporate and private events, you can catch him at popular bars and clubs all over Maui and streaming live on TWITCH doing what he loves: DJing.
DJ LX stands apart from the rest of island talent through his ability to create a one-of-a-kind vibe, push the energy of the dance floor, and maintain the crowd’s energy all night long. His unique style and creative drive are apparent in his live DJ sets, showcasing his talent as a live remix artist and consistently keeps the crowds coming back for more.
